For me, my android phone conveniently has all my location history as I carry it everywhere. You can use almost any device that gives gps logs. How it works? Lightroom has the ability to match Exif dates to GPS track logs and apply it to photos. I'm sure someone has posted something about it already, but just sharing my experience in case it is useful. It's awesome for camera that doesn't have GPS ability.
